POWDER COAT APPLICATOR

 

We coat a wide range of products and materials, specializing in Aluminum. 

Looking for hard-working, well-spiken individuals that want to train and advance in our company. We provide hands on training, and you will have cross training opportunities in our other departments.

·         Full time, Monday – Friday

·         Wages based on experience

Main Duties:

·         Coating of products as per work orders.

·         Inspection of products prior to coating.

·         Troubleshooting of coating problems.

·         General routine maintenance of powder coating system.

Qualifications:

·         One-year experience desired; but we are willing to train the right person.

·         Minimum education – High School Diploma or GED.

·         Fundamental knowledge of concepts in electrostatic procedures.

Applicants Must:

·         Have CSA footwear; all other PPE will be fitted and supplied.

·         Have the mathematical aptitude to weigh and mix powder.

·         Be able to identify our standard colors by glance.

·         Be able to read work orders and schedules.

·         Work well independently and with others.

·         Be able to follow instructions and willing to be coached.

·         Have a strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.

·         Be adept at working under pressure to keep the production line moving.

·         Be able to wear a half face and/or a full face mask as required.

·         Be able to work in hot conditions.

·         Demonstrate good physical strength, capable of lifting 70lbs (32kg).

·         Have a reliable mode of transportation – we are located on the Langley / Surrey border.

·         Have excellent attendance and punctuality.

·         Be available to work varying shifts in peak season (April-Aug).

·         First aid and forklift certifications are an asset.

Production Worker - Prep & Packaging Departments

 

 
Looking for hard-working, well-spoken individuals that want to train and advance in our company. This opportunity involves a variety of tasks to be performed in our Prep, and Packaging departments.
 
We provide hands on training and you will have cross training opportunities in each of our departments.
 
Full time, Monday – Friday
Wage based on experience - starting at mimium wage upto $14/hr
 
 
Main Duties:
Reading & completing work orders.
Pull material required to fill work orders.
Sanding and preparation of aluminum.
Hanging materials and parts.
Packaging coated products for shipping.
Picking/prepping stock for paint and/or distribution.
Inventory tracking.
Quality inspection.
Weekly maintenance tasks.
 
Successful candidates will: 
Have CSA footwear; all other PPE will be fitted and supplied.
Have a great attention to detail.
Work well independently and with others.
Have good manual dexterity, and be able to do repetitive tasks.
Be comfortable using power tools (palm sanders, chop saws, etc).
Read, speak, and write fluent English.
Possess basic math and measurement skills.
Demonstrate good physical strength, capable of lifting 50 lbs.
Have a reliable mode of transportation – we are located on the Langley/Surrey border.
Have excellent attendance and punctuality.
Be available to work varying shifts in peak season (April-Aug).
First aid and forklift certifications are an asset.

DELIVERIES & WAREHOUSE

The Position:   Start out training as a Driver delivering products to our customers, the variety of responsibilities of this role will provide the opportunity for you to learn all of the products and services Huyck has to offer its customers. 

Responsibilities:

-          50% Driver and Customer Service

-          20% Warehouse worker – stock, inventory, maintenance, pull customer orders

-          15% Shipping / Receiving

-          15% Support production departments when shorthanded, prep, packaging, hanging

-          Strive to provide excellent customer satisfaction through prompt and accurate product delivery and communication with company and customer personnel.

-          Daily deliveries and pickups within the lower mainland by 1ton Van and 5 ton 28’ curtain side truck with air brakes

-          Asses customer needs and take orders

-          Manage Customer Stock Levels on site

-          Pull orders to be delivered

-          Perform a daily inspection of delivery vehicle including: all fluid levels, tire pressure and condition, general road worthiness of vehicle, that meets Transport                        Canada requirements and provide written notification of any unsafe conditions.

-          Operate all vehicles safely adhering to Transport Canada regulations

-          Adhere to WCB safety protocols governed by Huyck as well as Customer/Vendor specific policies

-          General cleaning of warehouse (garbage, sweeping, organization of shelves)

-          Operating sit down forklift up to 4000lbs

-          Use of power tools & bandsaw

 

What we need from you:

-          Grade 12 Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certification or equivalent

-          Must have Class 5 driver’s license – Minimum 2 years driving

-          Delivery and/or Warehouse Shipping/Receiving Experience - Minimum 1-year

-          Forklift Operator – minimum 1year experience

-          Microsoft Office – Experienced in Basic Skills in Outlook, Word & Excel

-          Confident and safe approach to driving in all BC Weather conditions

-          Must be willing to acquire air brake endorsement

-          Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to effectively communicate with vendors, customers, managers, and coworkers

-          Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities

-          Dedicated to providing superior customer service and quality focused

-          Positive attitude, flexible and adaptable, self-motivated

-          Outgoing, Friendly, Team Player

         -          Must be in good physical condition and capable of lifting in excess of 60 pounds, sitting for extended periods of time, able to climb steps and ladders, and capable                      of bending, stooping, and carrying products up steps,  stairs, and down ramps and walkways.

-          English – Fluent Speaking, reading and written

-          No smoking permitted in company vehicles

-          Candidates must be legally permitted to work in Canada

 

Successful candidates will be asked to provide a Criminal Record Check and a driver's abstract.
