PRE-TREATMENT AND QUALITY PLANNING FOR ALUMINUM COMPONENTS
A durable finish begins with properly prepared aluminum. Huyck uses five-stage immersion pretreatment to remove soils and prepare the surface before dry-off, powder application and cure. Immersion helps reach channels and recessed areas that can be difficult to treat consistently.
Powder coating does not hide every mill mark, extrusion line, scratch, dent or gouge in the incoming material. For appearance-critical products, identify cosmetic surfaces and supply aluminum that meets the required surface standard. Approved samples, clear part numbers and documented colour specifications support repeatable production.
ALUMINUM EXTRUSION POWDER COATING FOR LONG, CONSISTENT FINISHES
Long aluminum extrusions can make colour variation, handling marks, light coverage and substrate imperfections easier to see. Huyck combines experienced racking, controlled powder application and proper curing to produce consistent finishes on window and door components, screening systems, channels, tracks, frames, rails and custom OEM profiles.
Each project is reviewed for profile geometry, length, weight, quantity, colour, gloss, visible surfaces, approved hanging locations, masking and packaging. This review helps determine whether the automated line or custom line is the best production route.
