Huyck offers automated powder coating for high-volume production and custom/manual coating for specialized parts, smaller runs, and frequent colour changes. With over 70 colours stocked, we deliver flexible, consistent finishing tailored to each customer’s specifications.
LONG EXTRUSIONS AND PROFILES
Powder coatings are available in a wide range of colours, gloss levels, textures and performance grades. As an approved applicator for TIGER Drylac, IGP, Protech and IFS Coatings, Huyck also supports architectural projects requiring AAMA 2603, 2604 and 2605 coating systems.

FULL IMMERSION PRETREATMENT
A durable powder-coated finish starts with proper surface preparation. Huyck uses a five-stage immersion pretreatment system to prepare aluminum components, including recesses, channels and complex areas, for improved adhesion and corrosion resistance.

Huyck coats aluminum extrusions, fabricated steel, architectural products, enclosures, railings, data centre components and other industrial parts. Each project is reviewed for its material, dimensions, geometry and finish requirements.

POWDER COATING FOR LONG ALUMINUM EXTRUSIONS, FRAMES AND METAL COMPONENTS
Long-length powder coating is useful for aluminum extrusions, window and door components, screening-system tracks, rails, posts, frames, building trim, panels and custom fabricated assemblies. Coating these parts in one piece can help manufacturers avoid joints or post-finish assembly created only to fit smaller equipment.
A long oven alone is not enough. Parts must also fit through pretreatment, dry-off, powder application and cure while remaining supported and electrically grounded. Huyck reviews overall dimensions, weight, geometry, hanging angle and heat requirements before confirming that a component can be processed.
PLANNING FOR QUALITY ON 26-FOOT COMPONENTS
Long visible surfaces can make substrate defects, handling marks and coating variation more noticeable. Customers should identify cosmetic zones, permitted hanging locations, masking areas and packaging requirements before production. Drawings or photographs are especially useful for unusual shapes and large assemblies.
Our automated and custom/manual capabilities provide different options depending on volume, shape, colour and setup requirements. Five-stage immersion pretreatment, controlled curing and documented handling methods support durable, consistent finishes from end to end.
