Huyck Industrials provides architectural powder coating for aluminum building products throughout British Columbia and Western Canada. We combine five-stage immersion pretreatment, approved powder systems, controlled application and capacity for components up to 26 feet long.

AAMA POWDER COATING SYSTEMS FOR ARCHITECTURAL ALUMINUM
AAMA 2603, AAMA 2604 and AAMA 2605 are performance specifications commonly used for organic coatings on architectural aluminum. The appropriate level depends on the application, expected exposure, colour and gloss retention requirements, warranty needs and the project specification.
Performance depends on the complete finishing system—not the powder name or colour alone. The aluminum substrate, pretreatment, approved coating product, application, film build and cure must work together. Huyck reviews the specified standard and project documentation before confirming a coating system.
PLANNING COLOUR, APPEARANCE AND
PROJECT REQUIREMENTS
Provide the architectural specification, drawings, required AAMA level, alloy if known, dimensions, quantities, colour, gloss and exposure. Also identify visible surfaces, approved hanging areas, masking, packaging and any manufacturer-backed warranty requirements before production.
For critical colours, use an approved physical sample. Screens and printed charts cannot reliably show exact colour, texture, gloss or metallic orientation. For phased projects, consistent powder identification, approved samples and advance quantity planning help manage appearance across separate production runs.
